Legal and Regulatory Compliance Statement
The Cultural Roots Society (CRS) is committed to full transparency and compliance with all state and federal regulations governing nonprofit organizations. CRS is duly registered with the Virginia State Corporation Commission and is in full compliance with Virginia charitable registration requirements.
All required registration forms have been submitted to both the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and are pending final approval due to backlogs at both the state and federal levels. Both agencies have issued conditional approvals permitting CRS to operate as a nonprofit organization during this interim period.
In accordance with IRS guidance and Virginia charitable solicitation law, all donations received during this interim period will be considered tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law once CRS’s federal 501(c)(3) determination is finalized.
Processing delays have been further impacted by the ongoing federal government shutdown, temporarily extending review timelines. CRS continues to operate in good faith under IRS guidance, maintaining all documentation and reporting obligations in accordance with applicable law.
We remain dedicated to transparency, accountability, and compliance as we await the completion of state and federal review.
